It’s Dr Dre’s Birthday and Academy graduate Nick Hook is teaming up with his mates Cosmo Baker, Egg Foo Young and Project Mattto to celebrate 20 years of The Chronic at 285 Kent Avenue in Brooklyn.
Heavily responsible for the grimy techno-soul of NYC’s Cubic Zirconia and the greasy bass of Drop The Lime’s live show, DJ and producer Nick Hook has been “twisting knobs” (self-description) for a minute now. He is no stranger to the dark underbelly of late night clubs, having played in some of the finest temples of boom the world over.
A self-proclaimed DJ’s DJ, Cosmo Baker has become best known for impressing rare groove heads with 45s worth Joe Average’s entire collection, while at the same time being able to destroy hipster raves and disco spots with the best of them.
Doors open at 9pm. Party is all ages, but you need to be 21+ to drink. Get your tickets here.
