
Spike Lee’s Bad 25 Documentary Details
With a the release of his much talked about and controversial movie “Red Hook Summer” on the horizon, esteemed director Spike Lee has dibbled and dabbled in just about everything as of late, from his highly appraised Mike Tyson Broadway show to a Michael Jackson Bad 25 documentary, which has been in the making for fairly a long time, and has been in motion since the King of Pop’s subsequent death in 2009. With the ball now rolling for the MJ doc, which shines light on the creative process and offers a behind the scenes look of the recording of Bad, Lee now has the green light to premiere it this August 29th at Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy. The upcoming documentary also comes just in time for the 25th anniversary of the Bad LP, that’ll be accommodated with a celebratory release on September 18th, including a deluxe package featuring three CDs, two collectible booklets, and a unreleased DVD footage/disc from the record breaking “Bad Tour.” A snippet is available under the cut.
