Novels are turning into gold on the big screen and by continuing the trend; it appears as if yet another book will see the light on TV screens sooner or later. R.L. Stine’s adult-thriller Eye Candy is being turned into a flick/series, with MTV spearheading the project and currently, it is being shot in various locations around the Big Apple (particularly on Allen, Stanton Streets and TriBeca).
Playing the role of Lindy Simpson will be none other than actress and singer Victoria Justice, who is tech genius that joins an online dating service only to be hit with some grim consequences, which leads to one of her suitors being a possible suspect as a serial killer. Here’s the synopsis:
“Eye Candy is a cyber-thriller based on the book from the Goosebumps’ creator. Justice will play Lindy, a tech genius who, convinced by her roommate to begin online dating, begins to suspect that one of her mysterious suitors may be a deadly cyber stalker. When her friends at the elusive cyber-police uncover a potential serial killer in Manhattan, all signs point to one of Lindy’s dates. Teaming with a band of hackers, Lindy works to solve the murders while unleashing her own style of justice on the streets of New York City.”
