Season 4 of Love & Hip-Hop New York is fully casted and ready to begin filming, but contract negotiations have it a standstill. A majority of the cast (no word on who this includes just yet) skipped out on filming the trailer earlier this week, holding out until they can negotiate a larger salary than last season. They’re also demanding more control over how their scenes are edited. The cast members that did show up to film the trailer are now also holding out, realizing their castmates are thinking smart, and they too should get more money.

The cast plans to “hold out as long as necessary,” but VH1 has called “emergency meetings” with them and believe they’ll have an agreement by week’s end.

Come 2016, Times Square may have one of its most prominent stores gone with the wind. The multi-level Toys R Us flagship store’s lease will be up, and it’s unclear if they’re going to be renewing. Should they not, they’d be leaving open “one of the most valuable retail spaces in the city to hit the market in a long time,” according to the CEO of the brokerage firm Cushman & Wakefield Inc.

When Toys R Us opened there in 2000, contracts were established for an annual rent of roughly $12 million. Under current market levels, the retailer’s rent would jump to more than $50 million.

Though they surely saw right through his “disguise,” Starbucks baristas in Greenwich Village played along with Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter yesterday, going by the name “Philip.” Photographers captured the baseball star holding the cup for Phil, though it’s also possible there was just a mix-up in drinks…as their employees have been infamous for in the past.

With the Knicks recently ousted from the playoffs, Carmelo Anthony’s former coach Jim Boeheim thinks it has nothing to do with him…but everything to do with his teammates.

“He did what he can do,” Boeheim told the Syracuse Post-Standard. “He played very well the final game. Everybody’s killing him, but Tyson Chandler just didn’t try to catch the ball.

“He threw him the ball and Tyson Chandler went like this,” Boeheim said while making a dodging motion. “He was wide open. He should have been looking for the ball right here. Kenyon Martin should have been looking for the ball.

However, Boeheim really feels the main issue is with Chandler.

“Tyson Chandler claims he never gets the ball. He doesn’t try to get the ball,” Boeheim said.

Feel free to lay out at the Coney Island beaches this weekend for their official summer opening…you just better hope you don’t need to use the bathroom! The newly-built modular Boardwalk “comfort stations” (made in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy) unfortunately won’t be ready in time for the holiday weekend.

The new bathrooms were put on 13-foot-high pedestals to keep them safe from future natural disasters, and there’s no word just yet on when exactly they’ll be ready to use. However, the Parks Department promised to provide temporary bathrooms in the interim.
