If you’ve never been to Wolfnights off Ludlow and Rivington, then you need to put the Shake Shack down and try some wraps and tots courtesy of the Wolfnights staff.
Located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Wolfnights offers a great selection of gourmet wraps with dough that’s baked in house and wraps that are filled with heavy and chunky ingredients that will indeed keep you satisfied.
Their Brother’s Grimm Wrap (grilled chicken wrapped in a chestnut & chili dough pickled shitake mushrooms, raisins, pickles, plantain chips, chipotle aioli) seems to be the local favorite as during any regular 5-10 minute sitting, the majority of orders include a Brother’s Grimm in the order. But us personally, we took a liking to the Carnivore’s Delight Wrap (charcoal grilled angus meatballs wrapped in a date & pumpkin seed dough fried egg, sumac onions, pickles, mustard horseradish sauce) with a side of their regular tater tots. I mean, there’s nothing spectacularly different from Wolf’s tater tots as they’re always crisped to perfection - as any good set of tots should be. But its that Wolf Ketchup that make those tater tots taste like little pieces of crispy gold. You can also go ‘animal style’ and turn up your tots order by “Wolf Attacking” them or even “Wolf Attacking” your wrap, which adds melted cheddar cheese, jalepeno, grilled onions and meat sauce. As an alternative, Wolfnights also has steak fries and sweet potato fries for you non-tots-people.
And if you’re into a swinging-chairs fetish, Wolfnights has three of them by their front window for some great late night LES people watching – which is never a boring site. Photo below courtesy of The Political Foodie.
