There have been 9 injuries and/or deaths in New York’s subway system since Wednesday, and two were failed suicide attempts early this morning.
The first was at 5:30 a.m. with a man leaping in front of the E train in Woodside, Queens. He survived, though he is in serious condition, and service was restored within an hour.
Hours later, a 75-year-old woman jumped in front of the 1 train in Harlem. She is now recovering at Harlem Hospital.
