Former Mets catcher Mike Piazza will be trading in his cleats for ballet slippers come this May. He will be appearing in a performance of “Slaughter on Tenth Avenue” at the Miami City Ballet, but it’s for one night only…and he won’t be dancing or anything of the sort.
The 44-year-old will play the role of “The Gangster,” a favor he is doing for his 6-year-old daughter who is a student at the ballet school.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun seeing the reaction of my two little girls,” he said in a statement. “For (Nicoletta) to have the opportunity to see Daddy on stage is my little gift. I’m looking forward to it.”
