Dame Dash’s financial woes keeps rolling on, and for the former Roc-a-fella co-founder’s latest bump in the road, he’s been tagged with a massive tax bill, reported at $2.8 million dollars. Dash, who allegedly owes for the years 2005 and 2011, failed to pay Uncle Sam a sum of $2,614,918.10 in 2005, while in 2011 he supposedly dodged the sum of $187,544.20. Just back in May, Dame also appeared in a Manhattan Court to speak on his financial problems, as well as answer a judge about charges in which he failed to pay back a $237,078 loan.
“I am currently several months behind paying my personal bills,” Damon Dash said in the filing. “For instance, I am currently over $100,000 behind in rent for the only home in which I live and at risk of being evicted.” Damon Dash also has to pay $24,000 every three months to his ex-wife Rachel Roy, $20,000 per-month in garnished wages, $4,341.10 a month for his son Christian and over $40,000 per-month in outstanding tax obligations. “I’m an independent businessman and this is what comes from business,” Dash continued. “I have the guts to fight my battles on my own and it’s entertainment to everybody else because I’m so cool about it.”
And despite his ongoing money issues, Dame seemed to be in high spirits earlier this week, where he was seen nodding his head in appreciation of Jigga’s newest album Magna Carta Holy Grail in a barber-shop and had these kind words to say about his former friend’s project:
In the barber shop listening to jays new album….I can’t front… I still like hearing him pop shit cause I know he’s telling the truth…proud to be be a part of that..#bittersweet
