Brooklyn seems to be the epicenter of this rash trend known as the “knockout” game. In a nutshell, passerbys/victims are randomly being sucker-punched by suspects who, for whatever reasons, are just snuffing out folks for the hell of it—especially elderly people—and of Jewish descent. In what has been the 10th report of this occurring in the Brooklyn area, a 72-year-old Russian woman has been claimed to be the latest victim, which, have all been pinpointed as Black suspects, with this one apparently being in his 20’s, police sources said Monday night.
According to reports, Mira Harpazi, 72, was supposedly making a quick trip to a nearby pharmacy when a young man walked up to her around noon near the intersection of Vandalia Ave. and Pennsylvania Ave. in East New York and whacked her in the mouth, the police say.
And as all similar cases, Harpazi, whom is also Jewish, was taken to Brookdale Hospital and listed in stable condition after the incident. Sadly, this doesn’t only seem to be a New York problem, as a 50 year-old teacher was knocked unconscious in Pittsburgh by a teen and another victim (62 year old) later succumbed from his injuries in Chicago earlier this year.
In those instances, it wasn’t hate-crime related, but in any event, no matter what race or color you may be, you have to protect yourselves and try to steer clear from large groups that you may feel threatened by. Here goes some tips on how to avoid becoming a victim.
