Harlem’s iconic Lenox Lounge has closed its doors for good. The landlord of the 63-year-old jazz club had doubled its rent, forcing current owner Alvin Reed to close up shop because it was simply just unaffordable. Though it will reopen in the spring, it will be a totally new place with not only different management but a different name as well. Nobu owner Richie Notar will open the doors to Notar Jazz Club this March.
