We’re sure you’ve heard about this, but just in case you haven’t. Since the MTA fare hike took place last week, about $250,000 worth of March 2013 maps are basically useless because the fare on the maps were not updated with the new fare information. The maps list that the minimum price for a pay-per-ride card as $4.50, when the new minimum is $5. Estimates point at 80,000 bad maps printed at a cost up to $250,000. The new versions will hit the public on about March 15th.
