The Delancey was the perfect Venue for this incredible event. The 212 headed down to the LES for some great music, people, food, and some amazing fashion on display. The Spirit of ’69 was certainly in the air, but with a Caribbean twist, as we walked into the ground level of the place and were immediately handed bottles of Red Stripe while taking in the rhythmic sounds of island ska bad The Frightnrs. Once we headed to the rooftop of the Delancey we knew what kind of party we were at. We grabbed another Red Stripe and ate some beautiful Caribbean hors d’oeuvres provided by Miss Lily’s while chopping it up with some of NYCs up and comers in the fashion and music world. Back to the rooftop, one of the more vibier settings I have seen in New York, it was absolutely a perfect night to be outside and enjoy this kind of event. The Dr. Martens Autumn Collection was on display in the center of rooftop and might I say this was some beautiful well crafted clothing. Check out pics below.
We headed back downstairs to the ground level to find Electric Punanny tearing down the house with an amazing Reggae Mix that had more than 100 people Dutty Wining. Jasmine Solano and MeLo-X provided the perfect mix for the eclectic crowd and they can produce with the best of ‘em. Check out more pics below from this amazing event and peep the Spirit of 69 collection here, available in September.
