NY Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys (2012 Season Opener)
Are you ready for some football? The football season is a day away from kick-off, and you know there’s bound to be accompanying house-parties, bar festivities, and buddy get-togethers for all of the pig-skin action. So leave the gals at home –well, unless she’s a fanatic like you – then no problem. And if you have tickets for the Giants home opener against the Cowboys, there stands a grand chance you’ll be whooping and hollering all night long. It’s going down at Met Life Stadium at East Rutherford, New Jersey at 8pm (September 5th), but if you’re not going to be in attendance, don’t fret, it’ll air live on NBC. Um…so what convention, again? Ha.
Here goes some places/locations where you can catch the game in case you don’t want to condemned to your couches and stuff.
Tickets are still available on StubHub, starting at $215 for nosebleed seats. Or, of course, sports bars are a great way to watch the game.
SNAP (248 West 14th Street, 646-350-0539) has 16 huge televisions, killer wings, and real food. Go hungry and enjoy the New York strip steak.
Duke’s New York (560 Third Avenue, 212-949-5400; 99 East 9th Street, 212-260-2922) has two locations, both with plenty of flat screens and great food, including barbecue and burgers. We love the Bronco Burger with avocado and bacon.
