Carmelo’s 42 points wasn’t enough for the Knickerbockers to tack another W to the win column, as the squad fell to the roster deep Clippers and losing 102-88 in their effort. Melo had 38 points going into the fourth quarter, but cooled down in the final period only adding four points to his total. Chris Paul put up 25 points while his All-Star teammate Blake Griffin finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds, plus some dunk trading with Tyson Chandler.
