The New York Knicks agreed to a six-player trade with the Dallas Mavericks that sends Tyson Chandler back to the Mavs three years after he left.
The Mavericks gave the Knicks Jose Calderon, Shane Larkin and Wayne Ellington and center Samuel Dalembert and the Knicks sent over Chandler and Raymond Felton to the Mavs.
With the trade, the Knicks get Dallas’ two draft picks for tonight’s NBA Draft – in the second round, the overall #34 and #51 picks.
Chandler will be in the last year of a $55 million contract, which would mean he’s due $14.5 million for the 2014-2015 season . Felton is also in the final year of his contract (with a player option at the end of it) and is due $3.8 million for the year.
This becomes one of the biggest moves so far by Phil Jackson and crew since taking the President position a few months back. Lets see what this means for the rest of the Knicks’ off season moves.
