Metta World Peace has met with the Knicks and has walked away with a two-year deal. The former Lakers heavyweight has agreed to a two-year deal that is worth about $1.6 Million per year – with the first year being guaranteed, and the second year having a player option.
Metta added fuel to the rumor via Twitter by chanting “Where Brooklyn At?”, a seemingly direct poke at the crosstown rival Brooklyn Nets.
Knicks coach Mike Woodson said Sunday that he would welcome the addition of World Peace. “I like his skill sets a lot. I think a lot of teams have liked his skill sets over the years. He does a little bit of everything.”
