The New York Knicks are definitely on to an amazing start, but the organization is in a little hot water after getting some controversy sent their way because of the recent “Friday Night” ad campaign featuring various slick sayings and phrases. Two however, have caused a bit of a stir with claims of being in poor taste.
As pictured above, the ad says, “”It’s Friday night, You can either go out and attempt to pick up sixes and sevens or stay home and watch Kidd dish out dimes.”‘ A play of words obviously referring to picking up women.
The other controversial ad said “It’s Friday night, You can either see a Broadway harness malfunctioning or you can watch real men fly.” This one refereed to the troublesome Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark Broadway show where various actors injured themselves while in performance. Definitely a situation most would probably deem inappropriate to make fun of in an advertisement.
MSG Network told ESPN that there are two other similar-type ads, and that ALL would be completely removed from all of their locations.
