It all came crashing down for the 2012 Yankees team last night at Comerica Park. Down 3-0 in the ALCS, the Detroit Tigers moved onto the World Series by KO’ing the struggling Bronx Bombers—who get this, batted .157 and scored six runs in four games–leading to the sweep. Top to it off, it was the first time in 32 years the Yanks were swept in series. Questions still linger for the aging team, such as how Derek Jeter or Mariano Rivera will fair next year after their injuries, and if Cashman is willing to bring A-Rod back after his dismal post-season. Till next year, this winter is going to be a pivotal one for ‘em, to say the least. We’ve got some serious decisions to make and let’s pray it’s for the better.
