One of Harlem’s best known battle rappers, Murda Mook, stopped by Sway In The Morning to politic about an array of topics, particularly regarding the current state of battle rapping, Eminem’s rise from battle rapper to super-stardom, wanting to go against him, the infamous SMACK DVD days, and much more.
He says:
“That’s a whole different era from right now, where you’ve got 3 months to prepare for somebody… I could have been walking to the store to get some milk and a ni**a run up on me and we battle right there. It wasn’t no preparing… It was a whole different era.”
